Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Mentor : Manage, coach, and develop a team of AI engineers, ensuring they grow into strong contributors.
• AI Development : Architect, develop, and optimize AI models to create meaningful utility apps for global mobile users.
• Scalability & Performance : Design AI systems that can handle high user demand efficiently, considering both cloud and on-device deployment.
• Product Integration : Work closely with mobile app developers to integrate AI features seamlessly into our applications.
• Research & Innovation : Stay updated with AI trends and adapt industry-leading techniques to improve our product offerings.
• Code Quality & Best Practices : Establish AI development standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices in model training and deployment.
• Collaboration : Work with product managers and designers to align AI capabilities with user needs and business goals.

Candidate requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Education : Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience : At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development, with a strong portfolio of AI-powered applications.
• Leadership : Prior experience leading a team or mentoring junior engineers is a plus.
• Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
  • Experience with image/video processing and generative AI (eg, GANs, diffusion models, transformers, etc.).
  • Experience working with generative AI models related to image, audio, video, music.
  • Experience in training and finetuning generative models.
  • Understanding of deep learning model optimization for mobile or cloud deployment.
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Soft Skills :
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.
