We are hiring a business analyst to join our project team. You will work alongside other business analysts and report directly to the project manager. Your main duties will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you must have a natural analytical mindset and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
- Stay up to date with the latest IT advancements and processes to automate and modernize systems.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Perform requirements analysis.
- Record and communicate the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Collect important information from meetings with various stakeholders and generate useful reports.
- Work closely with customers, technicians and management staff.
- Provide leadership, training, coaching and guidance to junior staff.
Requirements for business analysts:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field or MBA degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis or related field.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to identify acceptable solutions.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Basic conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience in creating detailed reports and presentations.
- Competence in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
