RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collecting data from various sources. Streamlining data collection methods to create automated and easy-to-use routines.
• Analyse collected data and put it into a format others can easily interpret.
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Collaborating with other team members, including engineers and programmers, to determine areas for improvement regarding data.
• Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
• Proactively analyse data to answer critical questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity.
• Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
• Gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensuring data consistency and accuracy through data validation and cleansing techniques.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with various databases.
• Experience building and optimising “big data” pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Strong SQL or Excel skills, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence platforms, developing and updating BI reports, and communicating actionable insights to improve corporate decision-making.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• University Degree Qualified in a Tech or Business field.
• 3-4 years of data analysis experience.
• IELTS 6.0 or equivalent would be beneficial.
• Experience working in the payments and financial services industries.
