Job Description

As a Software Data Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Design and implement a reliable, scalable data pipeline, including ingesting, processing, and analyzing data coming from multiple sources to the Data Lake.

Develop data models and schemas in our Data Warehouse to enable better business insights.

Develop data services to enable user-driven analytics and model inference.

Participate closely with the Development Team as needed.

Collaborate with Data Scientists to design and implement processes to enable rapid release of data as needed.

Collaborate with Leadership and Data Analysts to identify key metrics and prepare data pipelines to help internal teams implement self-service on analytics platforms.

Candidate requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology and related fields.

5 years of experience in the following areas: SQL processing, preferably on data warehouses; or experience in software engineering.

Using big data (data engineer, machine learning engineer, data scientist).

Experience engineering, building and/or operating distributed big data systems.

Use and manage workflow management systems.

Experience working on projects spanning multiple products.

Experience developing systems using Java and/or Python.

Proficient in Python and SQL

Proficient in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and processes

At least 5 years of experience on AWS cloud (AWS solution architect / AWS Certified Data Analyst certification preferred) with stack data platforms: Glue ETL, S3 lake house, DynamoDB, Step Function, Lambda, REST API Gateway, Cloud watch, RDS, Redshift, ...

Experience creating and maintaining a Data Lake on AWS Cloud Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Code (IaC) with Terraform

Experience in building and optimizing the performance of Data Warehouses and data models

Ability to build CICD to integrate with cloud infrastructure

Experience with data visualization tools is a big plus!
