Job description
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team in the Vietnam office, reporting to the Head of Engineering of the company in Vietnam. You support the engineering activities of a software development team mainly from the people management perspective so that each team member will achieve the best performance. The Engineering Manager also ensures the communication between the team and the members in the company in Tokyo office.
・Conduct 1-on-1 meetings with the team members to motivate them to increase team performance and continue to contribute to the team.
・Evaluate the performance of team members.
・Assign team members to roles of the team.
・Encourage members to participate in the discussion and lead the planning and review meetings.
・Ensure the communication between the team members and the other teams goes well.
・Guide the team to produce software with sufficient quality and performance.
・Participate in hiring by interviewing and attracting candidates.
・Report the problems of the team to upper management in a timely manner.

Requirement
・English business level
・At least 5 years of experience building and managing development teams that design and deliver highly reliable and scalable distributed systems
・At least 2 years of experience with Agile development methodologies
・Solid software development background, including domain-driven design, design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development.
・Track record of retaining, developing, motivating, and mentoring highly effective teams
・Experience with project delivery for a complex system.
・Self-directed and motivated to meet deadline
・Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
・Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Working condition: Mon-Fri：08:00 ~ 17:00
Salary：Up to 5500USD Gross
